- Conduct On-Site Inspections: Visit facilities to cross-check data and interview stakeholders for accurate verification.
- Prepare Reports: Draft detailed reports highlighting findings, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Work closely with facility management and workers to facilitate the verification process and provide feedback.
- Maintain Compliance: Adhere to SLCP protocols and ethical standards, staying updated on industry best practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Language Proficiency: Local Language of either Madagascar or Mauritius with C1-level proficiency in English
- Certifications: Certification as an SLCP Verifier is preferred.
- Any other relevant certifications in social compliance auditing or labor rights such as SA8000, SMETA, WRAP etc...
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social compliance auditing, labor standards verification, or a similar field.
- Prior experience working with SLCP or other social compliance frameworks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of labor standards, social compliance, and supply chain issues.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple verification assignments simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to conduct on-site verifications.
- Fluency in English.
