The Clientis a large-scale industrial operation dedicated to the mining and refining of nickel and cobalt in Madagascar. As the country's largest-ever investment, Ambatovy is positioned to become the world's leading lateritic nickel mine. The operation is highly complex, enabling the production of premium-grade nickel and cobalt with a purity of 99.9%.About the RoleThe Client is seeking a seasoned Technical Advisor to support the stabilization and optimization of its Bulk and Commodities operations, with a focus on lime and milk of lime production. This strategic role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong leadership and project management capabilities.Key Responsibilities1. Technical support to operationProvide from high-level to detailed guidance to the bulk and commodities operation team to ensure the achievement of production targetsTroubleshoot critical operational challenges and support the stabilization processesAdvise technically the Manager and SuperintendentImplement “best practices” in terms of Lime and Milk of lime plant operation2. Process review and optimization

Analyze, review and reset the current operational parameters in order
Recommend and implement improvements on milling, crushing and calcining and related to process control to enhance monitoring and process stability
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and process teams to implement best practices in lime and limestone plant production
Develop and implement troubleshooting guidance for the operation team and train accordingly.

3. Project support and implementation

Identify any improvement projects to implement related to stable production
Support the team to initiate, implement process improvement projects
Advise technically the team on the prioritization and/or management of change of projects

4. Coaching and training

Coach and mentor Process Engineers on pathway and support them on growth
Deliver hands-on training and coaching to supervisors, operators and technical staff
Strengthen competencies at all levels of the operations team to ensure sustainable performance improvements
Develop and standardize technical procedures Provide practical training for the supervisor and above level on milling and calcining operations
Coach and advise operations team on day-to-day improvements and operation

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Process Engineering or equivalent.
10–15 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in expatriate roles.
Strong expertise in milling, thickening, calcining, and troubleshooting.
Experience in cement or bulk commodities operations is a strong asset.
Fluency in French and English required.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
Proven track record in coaching and mentoring technical teams.

Additional Requirements

Ability to manage multiple projects (minimum 3 projects of $5M each) with minimal supervision.
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
High ethical standards and professional integrity.
Comfortable working in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment.
This position is not eligible for overtime.
