
Receipting & Allocations Officer

- Confirming and posting receipts from customers and suppliers after all required checks
- Allocating payments and receipts to customer accounts
- Ensuring that the Cash Register is reconciled on a daily basis
- Ensuring that unallocated cash and unapplied cash are reviewed on a weekly basis and shared with the Treasurer & Credit Controller
- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or queries related to receipts and allocations
- Assisting the finance team in clearing outstanding bank reconciliation items on a daily basis
- Liaising with other departments and stakeholders to resolve queries related to receipts and allocations
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
- Track all drafts received from customers from physical receipt to credit in VE bank accounts (update drafts record)
- Ensuring cash orders are released in line with the MoA on a timely basis
- Ensuring proper filing of all documents pertaining to cash tasks
- Ensure that all required balance sheet reconciliations / Goal Zero reports are provided as per agreed deadlines each month
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- A master's degree in accounting, finance, ecomomics
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software
- Sound knowledge of ERPs and Microsoft Excel tools
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong Customer Service Skills
